I am an “insightful, encouraging & results-driven” freelancer.
My story began with grass roots community work volunteering with asylum seekers in Leeds.
I have subsequently worked across the UK, in voluntary and statutory organisations, including as a Deputy CEO and Director.
I wanted to launch my own business, turning my passions and experience to deliver something more.
I am values driven and inclusive.
I have experience of leading in mental health, public health, community development, involvement, NHS, immigration, law, housing and justice sectors.
I thrived at Director level at not-for-profit Touchstone for 12 years, including as Deputy CEO, growing and developing the organisation.
I had a successful stint in the NHS as the Suicide Prevention lead for West Yorkshire, working cross-system and achieving results.
As the Healthy Communities lead in the NHS, I supported the interface between health, care and incredibly diverse communities, with authentic leadership.
“Jess led with clarity, compassion, and relentless energy: mobilising partners, challenging stigma, and delivering innovation that truly made a difference…. Jess is not only a brilliant thinker but also a doer: someone who turns ideas into action and empowers others to do the same. She’s a trusted colleague, a tireless advocate, and a joy to work with”.
NHS leader
“Jess delivered everything we could have asked for and more. Her contribution was visionary, sensible and sensitive. The value she provided was truly exceptional. I would recommend Jess without hesitation to any organisation seeking thoughtful, strategic, and inclusive consultancy”.
